BJP Holds Protest at Charminar, Demands Identification and Deportation of Pakistani Nationals

Date:

Tensions flared in Hyderabad today as BJP workers staged a protest at Charminar, demanding the identification and deportation of Pakistani nationals allegedly living illegally in the city.

Leading the protest, BJP leader T Uma Mahendra alleged that Hyderabad had become a “safe zone” for terror suspects. “Terror attacks happen in various corners of the country, but they [attackers] are arrested from Hyderabad. Which means the city is a safe zone for them,” Mahendra claimed.

He further demanded that the Telangana government and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi take immediate action: “I demand that the Telangana government and Asaduddin Owaisi identify Pakistanis door to door and send them back.”

The protest, held in the politically sensitive Old City area, comes amid heightened rhetoric around national security and illegal immigration. Authorities have not confirmed any official count of undocumented Pakistani nationals residing in Hyderabad, and there has been no immediate response from the state government or Owaisi.

Security was tightened around Charminar during the protest to prevent escalation, and police monitored the situation closely.
