Telangana, Thuringia Ink Partnership Agreement to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

The state of Telangana has signed a cooperation agreement with the German state of Thuringia. The agreement focuses on technology, skills training, startups, and life sciences. Thuringia’s Minister-President Mario Vogt met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad. Vogt praised Telangana’s rapid economic growth, calling it a leading hub of progress and innovation in India. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stressed the need for skills training programs appropriate for the age of artificial intelligence. He said Telangana wants to train workers for countries like Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

The Chief Minister sought Thuringia’s cooperation in improving skills training in universities and technical institutions. He also requested assistance in establishing a German language training center in Hyderabad. Minister-President Vogt agreed to develop a customized skills training program for Telangana. He said that Thuringia’s industries and universities will collaborate with Telangana institutions. Minister D. Sridhar Babu pointed out that several global semiconductor companies are already operating in Hyderabad. He further stated that Telangana is making progress in semiconductor manufacturing.
